Radiology Services
What is Radiology?
Radiology (also known as "imaging") is an area of medicine that enables physicians to "see" inside the human body in order to diagnose and monitor disease. Radiology covers a wide range of techniques including CT, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and interventional radiology.
We pride ourselves on customer service, technical expertise and superior quality. We are empathetic and work at MVH because we truly care about our community and the healthcare of those we serve. We understand that you have a choice on where to go for imaging services, and we hope that you will choose Mountain View Hospital .
Radiology Technologists
Providing advanced services close to home
All of our Imaging services are performed by Radiologic Technologists that have received registry status through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). They are also licensed through the state of Oregon as technologists. Most of our staff also achieved advanced certifications and licensures in other imaging modalities to further specialize their technical expertise.
Our Imaging services are interpreted by board certified, sub-specialty trained, Radiologists through Central Oregon Radiology Associates (CORA). CORA physicians interpret images from Central and Eastern Oregon using a state of the art pictorial archiving communication system (PACS).These Radiologists pride themselves on delivering high quality interpretations in a timely manner, which allows your immediate healthcare provider to plan your course of care faster.

Accreditation
Mountain View Hospital is accredited through the American College of Radiology (ACR). At an ACR accredited facility, you can rest assured that your prescribed imaging test will be done at a facility that has met the highest level of imaging quality and radiation safety. The facility and its personnel have gone through a comprehensive review to earn accreditation status by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the largest and oldest imaging accrediting body in the U.S. and a professional organization of 34,000 physicians.
What does ACR accreditation mean?
- Our facility has voluntarily gone through a vigorous review process to ensure that we meet nationally-accepted standards of care.
- Our personnel are well qualified, through education and certification, to perform mdical imaging, interpret your images, and administer your radiation therapy treatments.
- Our equipment is appropriate for the test or treatment you will receive, and our facility meets or exceeds quality assurance and safety guidelines.
Why should I have my imaging exam done at an accredited facility?
When you see the gold seals of accreditation prominently displayed in our imaging facility, you can be sure that you are in a facility that meets standards for imaging quality and safety. Look for the ACR Gold Seals of Accreditation.
To achieve the ACR Gold Standard of Accreditation, our facility's personnel qualifications, equipment requirements, quality assurance, and quality control procedures have gone through a rigorous review process and have met specific qualifications. It's important for patients to know that every aspect of the ACR accreditation process is overseen by board-certified, expert radiologists and medical physicists in advanced diagnostic imaging.
