Describing herself as a "passionate lifelong learner," Marilyn Waller-Niewold is a voracious reader, eagerly devouring books on subjects as diverse as religion and gardening, politics and home decorating. She brings that same passion to her other interests, which include gardening, attending the symphony, cooking and baking, photo scrapbooking, family movie-and-dessert nights, and working on home projects with her husband Jack.
Having raised eight children, "empty nester" Marilyn is now thoroughly enjoying all the benefits of being a grandmother. She and her husband like to have the grandchildren visit and do fun things like ride "Dude" grandpa's tractor. Then we joyfully return the youngsters to their parents, "so that they — our kids — can get a full dose of what we experienced raising them!"
