Guided by her humble and adventurous spirit, Karen Potampa creates instant connections with everyone she meets. As a fourth-generation descendant of a homesteading family that arrived in Central Oregonin the early 1900s, she carries a deep appreciation for the Madras community and its diverse history close to her heart.
Whether she's hiking the trail to Machu Picchu with her daughter or going on a treasure hunt with her grandkids, Karen cherishes the moment and embraces all that life has given her. She fills her free time with running, walking, gardening, cooking, quilting, knitting, and reading. An active supporter of the Jefferson County 4-H and Pregnancy Resource Center, Karen is also a board member of the Jefferson County Historical Society.
