Good food and good friends are the two essentials for a great get-together in Tom Creelman's opinion. In summertime, you're likely to find him serving his famous juniper plank salmon, along with fresh offerings from his garden: home-grown raspberries, spinach and cherry tomatoes.

Because he enjoys spending time outdoors, Tom is as passionate about hiking, fishing and rafting as he is about gardening. But his idea of the ultimate therapy is to get his hands on his woodworking tools. When he can get a spare moment, that is.

With two grown boys, Tom and his wife Pat are busy with their family — as well as enjoying the powwows, feasts and community gatherings that are part of life in Jefferson County .
